Customers Show Confidence in Bath Building Society
Despite the gloom of the current economic situation, Bath Building Society has just received their best ever results from their annual customer survey, with positive results reflected across all areas of the business.
As part of their annual review Bath Building Society asked members a series of questions about the service they receive, and despite having an already impressive result in 2007 they have continued to improve in all areas.
As a small and local building society the Society is not subject to many of the pressures of other larger banks at this time, having no exposure to the so called sub-prime sector and very low levels of borrowing from other financial institutions. This seems to be appreciated by the Society's members who overwhelmingly (98 per cent) agreed that their money is secure with the Bath Building Society.
Dick Jenkins, Chief Executive of Bath Building Society (see right), commented, "It's important at a time where there is so much media concern about banks and financial institutions that customers trust their building society. That trust is well placed - our funding is very diversified, our mortgage and savings books are perfectly balanced and we have arrears levels well below the industry average."
Through the 2008 Customer Survey, it is also evident that customers are more than satisfied with the service they receive from the Society's staff. 99 per cent of customers believe that the staff have a friendly and helpful attitude, and 97 per cent agree that the staff have the necessary expertise and skill to provide a good service.
The Society is well known for being 'closer to its customers', and 90 per cent of customers agreed that Bath Building Society provides a more personal service than they would receive at other financial institutions. 95 per cent also said they were satisfied with the service they receive. |
